Alles im Bild ist rostbraun (der Boden, das Bl\u00e4tterdach, selbst der Stein in diesem Licht), sodass der eine k\u00fchle, helle Ton, das Tageslicht im Bogen, zum einzigen Ziel f\u00fcr den Blick wird.<\/p>\n<p>Ich habe das Geb\u00e4ude bewusst in die Mitte gesetzt. Symmetrie ist meist ein Risiko, aber hier schlie\u00dft sich der Wald von beiden Seiten wie ein Kirchenschiff, und die Komposition war schon eine Architektur, bevor ich ankam; sie abzulehnen w\u00e4re eine Pose gewesen. Der Weg wird schmaler, die B\u00e4ume neigen sich herein, und der Bogen sitzt im Fluchtpunkt, wo er hingeh\u00f6rt.<\/p>\n<p>In der T\u00fcr\u00f6ffnung steht eine einzelne Gestalt, so klein, dass man sie fast \u00fcbersieht. Darauf habe ich gewartet. Ohne Menschen ist der Bogen eine Ruine; mit einem Menschen wird er zur Schwelle, und das Bild beschreibt nicht mehr den Herbst, sondern fragt nach dem, was auf der anderen Seite liegt.<\/p>\n<p>Der Pavillon wurde f\u00fcr einen Kaiser gebaut und steht heute allein in einem Wald, der sich das Gel\u00e4nde still zur\u00fcckgeholt hat.
