From Marshall Beach at blue hour, the Golden Gate Bridge glows orange-red against a sky sliding from dusk into near-night, while the incoming tide moves slowly enough to smooth into long, calm streaks across the sand. I stood right at the waterline for this shot, close enough that the waves eventually reached my shoes, which felt like a fair trade for the view. It’s a scene where a famous piece of engineering and a completely ordinary evening tide somehow feel equally worth watching.
