The story behind the photo
It was snowing hard enough that the far side of the meadow had disappeared, and the flakes crossing the frame are visible as short white streaks. A single broad tree stands in the middle of it with a park bench underneath, both already half covered.
I let the picture go almost monochrome because the scene genuinely was. There is no colour left in a heavy snowfall under flat cloud: the grass is gone, the sky and the ground are the same white, and the only tones remaining are the black of the wet trunk and the grey of the snow in the air.
The bench is small and easy to miss, and it is the whole point. A tree in a snowstorm is weather; a tree with a bench under it is a place somebody sits in summer, photographed on a day when nobody would.
Snow like this reaches this part of France once a year at best, and it was gone by the afternoon. I went out while it was still falling, which is uncomfortable and usually worth it: the hour during a storm looks nothing like the hour after it.

Materials
Hahnemühle fine art papers (Photo Rag, Museum Etching, Fine Art Baryta…), chosen for each photograph.
Print mounted on 3 mm aluminium Dibond: rigid, light, no glazing.
Print set between 3 mm Dibond and an acrylic sheet: richer colour and depth, resistant to UV and humidity.
Framing, optional
For paper prints: white mount and Plexiglas glazing, museum glass optional.
For aluminium and acrylic: the photo seems to float inside its frame; black or white.
For aluminium and acrylic: an aluminium structure fixed to the back, invisible once hung.
Delivery and returns
Signed-for delivery by Colissimo or, depending on the country, to a pickup point; signed-for delivery by courier for Large and Extra large sizes and some framed prints. Usually two to three weeks in mainland France and Europe, thirty to forty-five days for the French overseas territories and other countries.
