Taken minutes apart from “Meander star,” from the same overlook on the Côte de Jor, this frame catches the valley just before the sun itself appears, when the whole sky over the Dordogne turns to a wash of peach, rose, and soft blue and the light hasn’t hardened into anything yet.
I favoured the panorama crop here because the valley earns it: the river’s meander is the whole story, and the wide format lets it unfurl all the way to the tree line on the far side without anything else competing for attention.
